SUMMARY:Belonging and Othering: An Interdisciplinary Dance Performance
DESCRIPTION:The Arts Council of Tamworth will be presenting Belonging and O
 thering\, an exciting new stage production from the beheard.world artistic
  troupe\, on September 14th at the Public House on Page Hill\, featuring a
  collaboration of nine dancers/choreographers\, three poets and two filmma
 kers who have created a piece where “belonging” and “othering” int
 ersect\, opening a window into underlying parts of tribalism and bias that
  keep us divided. The multi-media performance piece will screen seven loca
 l storytellers who have experienced being “othered.” The storytellers 
 focus on racism\, gender bias\, immigration prejudice and LGBTQ issues. As
  each story is told\, on a large 20’x20′ screen\, dancers will perform
  solos to eight stories.\n\nThe performance will be held on Sunday\, Septe
 mber 14th beginning at 7 PM. It will be staged at the Public House on Page
  Hill Pavilion\, and tickets are by suggested donation. Doors will open at
  6 PM for a cocktail social hour (cash bar) with light fare courtesy of th
 e Public House on Page Hill. A $5 donation for light fare to the Pub on Pa
