DESCRIPTION:Sicard Hollow \nis a four-piece progressive bluegrass band who 
 formed with a mutual passion for pushing the boundaries of genre. Heavily 
 influenced by the Grateful Dead and New Grass Revival\, these young picker
 s bring new energy to a timeless style with a combination of fearless impr
 ovisation and instrumental prowess.\n\nNashville’s psychedelic punk-gras
 s rockers\, Sicard Hollow\, grew up sick of any existing institution telli
 ng them who and what to be. Now\, as they navigate adulthood\, they’re e
 qually tired of the music institutions telling them what their music shoul
 d sound like—so they dunked it in patchouli and a skate-and-destroy etho
 s that brings an enduring sound into the modern age.\n\nBefore the band me
 t in 2018\, none of the members ever considered playing bluegrass. Matt Re
 nnick (violin) was working on electronic music\, Will Herrin (mandolin/voc
 als) was playing guitar in rock bands\, and Alex King (guitar/vocals) was 
 barely playing music at all. After a few jam sessions\, the bluegrass just
  kind of happened. Since adding Parrish Gabriel (bass) in the Fall of 2019
 \, the band has been on a journey of self discovery within the genre while

 grass trio led by their sister\, Joseph and John DellaValla now take cente
 r stage as a duo while she hits the books at college.\n\nWith quick pickin

 oys carry the heart of their family’s sound with every show they play. A
 longside their bluegrass roots\, they explore jazz-inspired improvisation\
 , heartfelt original tunes\, and warm vocals that invite the crowd to sing
  along. Though the trio reunites when possible\, the brothers’ duo is a 
 full-fledged chapter of its own – a testament to their craft\, versatili
