an interview and Q&amp\;A moderated by music historian and Majestic mai
 nstay\, John Howell.\n\nAbout Stop Making Sense :\n\nStop Making Sense\,
possibly the greatest concert film of all time\, was directed by Jonatha
n Demme (Silence of the Lambs). It captures the new wave band Talking Head
s in performance at the Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles over three nights
in December 1983.  The film features David Byrne\, Tina Weymouth\, Chris
Frantz\, and Jerry Harrison\, alongside an electric ensemble of supporting
musicians\, and is renowned for its innovative cinematography\,  strikin
g lighting design\, and David Byrne’s unique stage production concept. I
t’s considered a groundbreaking and influential example of the concert f
ilm genre\, featuring iconic performances of the band's most memorable son
gs.\n\nAbout the Artists :\n\nTina Weymouth is a pioneering bassist\, pro
ducer\, and musician best known as a founding member of Talking Heads and
the funk-hip-hop group Tom Tom Club. With her innovative and funky basslin
es\, Weymouth helped define the unique sound of Talking Heads and later ac
hieved international success with Tom Tom Club. As a prominent female musi
cian in a male-dominated era\, she broke barriers and inspired countless w
omen in music\, leaving an enduring legacy through her versatile and bound
ary-pushing artistry.\n\nWeymouth's musical career began in the mid-1970s
when she joined forces with Frantz and Byrne to form Talking Heads\, playi
ng a pivotal role in the band's genre-bending sound that blended punk\, fu
nk\, and new wave.\n\nChris Frantz is a renowned American musician and re
cord producer\, best known as the drummer and a founding member of Talking
Heads. His partnership with bassist (and wife) Tina Weymouth formed the t
ight\, rhythmic foundation that helped define the band's distinctive sound
\, blending punk rock\, funk\, and world music.\n\nAfter meeting at the Rh
ode Island School of Design in the early 1970s\, Frantz\, Weymouth\, and D
avid Byrne moved to New York\, where they formed Talking Heads and quickly
became a staple of the city's burgeoning punk and new wave scene at clubs
like CBGB. The band's critical and commercial success led to their induct
ion into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2002.\n\nIn addition to their w
ork with Talking Heads\, Frantz and Weymouth are co-founders of the popula
r Tom Tom Club. That band was formed in 1980 during a Talking Heads hiatus
\, and went on to record major hits like "Genius of Love". Tom Tom Club’
s funky\, hip-hop-influenced tracks have been widely sampled by other arti
sts\, securing its legacy in modern music.\n\nFrantz has lent his producti
