SUMMARY:Tamworth Swift River Regatta - Race Day
DESCRIPTION:The Arts Council of Tamworth is pleased to host the second annu
 al Tamworth Swift River Regatta on Saturday\, May 30th.\nKids of all ages 
 and their families are invited to join in the friendly competition\, which
  is a great spectator event. Competitors will customize and decorate a 9
 ” pine wooden model sailboat and compete for cash and other prizes in th
 e Swift River course that passes through the center of town. The boats\, b
 uilt in Tamworth by Swift River Wood Products\, are available for advance 
 purchase here online or at the Tamworth Farmer’s Market on May 16th. Onl
 y 35 boats will be available.\n\nThe prizes will be $50 for first place (i
 n both youth and adult divisions) and $25 for second place (in both youth 
 and adult divisions). There will also be prizes for best-decorated boat!\n
 \nCompetitors will want to get their boats early as they’re all invited 
 to a free Paint Your Boat workshop on May 17th from 1 PM to 3 PM at Runne
 lls Hall in Chocorua\, hosted by the Arts Council. \n\nAll boat sales hel
 p to fund the Arts Council's events and programming!\n\nEvent Schedule for
  May 30th\n\n 	9 AM - 11 AM: Boat registration at the Tamworth Farmers Mar
 ket. Competitors will drop off their boats at the ACT table.\n 	11:30 AM: 
 Event volunteers will take the boats to the race starting line. (Sorry\, b
 ut only volunteers will be allowed to transfer the boats.)\n 	12 PM: The r
 ace begins! There should be good viewing from the bridge\, from behind the
  Tamworth Bakery\, and from behind Tamworth Distilling.\n 	12:30 PM (appro
 ximate): The race finishes behind Tamworth Distilling! Prizes will be awar
 ded\, and all boats will be returned to competitors after all prizes have 
 been given out.\n
