In Partnership with Mount Washington Valley Eaters and Growers

Words by Lea Smith

Local food offers myriad benefits beyond excellent taste. Enjoy food picked, harvested, and processed at the peak of nutrition (and not subject to the time and environmental harm of transportation), the satisfaction of meeting, knowing, and connecting with the farmer(s) that grew or raised your food, and contributing directly to your local economy by keeping food dollars between you and the producers. The Valley and surrounding areas are home to many farmers, farm stands, farmers’ markets, stores, and restaurants providing residents and visitors with the chance to enjoy seasonal, fresh, and often distinctive agricultural products.

Below is a regional breakdown of how you can access seasonal, locally grown food in the Valley and surrounding areas.
