Foliage Report - September - Week 3 - 2025
This season will be awesome! Yes, even with dry conditions. Rain is in the forecast and will fill streams and rivers up a bit.
Colors are beginning to become more pronounced all around the White Mountains. In the Lincoln area, on the west side of the Kancamagus highway, and throughout the Conways, sprays of color are everywhere. Lots of green left, so we’re just at the beginning.
Yes, there has been lots of early leaf drop due to the dry conditions, but those are mainly on younger trees, stressed-out trees, or in swampy areas.
Travel to the upper parts of the Whites and you’ll see brilliant color throughout the notches and into Berlin, Gorham, and Whitefield. These areas will be at peak around the first week of October.
The North Conway area and surrounding towns continue to display a predominantly green landscape with splashes of color throughout.
Check back again next week for the next report!
